“The Navy Yard area and Ballpark are emerging as a good example of gentrification. A once rough neighborhood is being transformed into a great residential and entertainment area. It is very close to the US Marine Barracks DC where every Friday night during the good weather months the Marines parade and perform for thousands of people on the parade ground. It is free but advanced tickets are needed to gain access...but it is the best show in DC ..and it is a 5 dollar cab ride from this hotel. And if I were a fan of the Nationals baseball team, this hotel would be the ideal place for a week end homestand HQ. And the hotel was very quiet..at least in my section facing the street on the 12th floor.”

“The late afternoon to 11pm staffers. The interaction was probably funniest part of my trip. Room was spacious for what needed to done there. The personal touch of the cleaning staff was a first and well thought out. I loved that. Special shoutout to cleaner T., night time cook, B-baller bartender.”
