“Comfy bed and great room”
“I have stated in many hotels round the world far more expensive than The Crown, but none were better, for the rooms at the crown were the best that I have seen anywhere on all levels, the staff polite and helpful, with a friendly local personality. The breakfasts were good and nothing requested was any problem for anyone. I can heartily recommend The Crown to anyone.”

“Location is great, right on Southwold high street. The room was spacious and comfortable, though still felt cosy and warm. The usual facilities provided were of high quality. We particularly enjoyed the bottled water. It was Adnam’s ‘Housewater’ and is purified at the brewery nearby. The bed was enormous and, though less firm than at home, undoubtedly comfortable. We slept well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. I had boiled eggs with sourdough soldiers and my partner had the vegetarian breakfast, both were delicious. There was a good range of options from the self-service buffet, including generous quantities of freshly squeezed orange juice and warm pain au chocolat. Yum!”
