“We had a pleasant stay of 6 nights at the end of December 2015. The hotel is located in the middle of town - we were able to walk everywhere from there. We stayed in an attic room - it was medium-sized, but it had great views of the valley and mountains. The linen was clean.The bathroom (shower and western toilet) was small but clean; the hot water was only just enough for two people though. It being winter, the room was chilly in the evenings (no heater or air-con), but they brought us hot water bottles each night. They also had a fire going in the lounge area in the evenings. The staff was friendly and always helpful. Get ready to climb stairs (we had 97 up to our room) - the hotel is situated in the top half of the building above another hotel. The Tibetan/Chinese veg-only restaurant on street level apparently belongs to the hotel and we usually ordered from them in the evenings, which they brought up to our room. No complaints about the food. Breakfast was not included in the stay, but the hotel provided a continental-style breakfast at Rs. 270 per person which we thought was somewhat pricey for what you get. The room was cleaned whenever we left our key at reception in the morning. We had our laundry done once and were pleased with the result and the price. (No ironing is done.) The area is a bit noisy from street-level.”
“I liked the location. Its very close to mall and above tax stand. Common Area is full of Books with wonderful view of Kanchenjunga.”

“The staff were extremely friendly. They did everything to make our stay extra pleasurable and helped us arranging the trekking with two small children for the Singalia Ridge trek. Also, we can by car and they were very helpful to let us park our car on their property at the resort. A big thank you and next time we plan on visiting Darjeeling again, we hope to stay at Dekeling (Resort) again! Tashi Delek!”
