“We stayed at Die Krone for 2 nights to relax after a very active 2 weeks trip. Parking was onsite and we had no need to move the car for 2 days since everything in Staufen is walking distance. I loved our balcony room on the top floor with a view of the Castle.”
“We arrived later in the evening, after the usual dinner time. After we got checked in, we asked if we could eat in their restaurant, and there was room! We got a 4 course meal, which my friend and I shared, which was 5 star! We were able to linger over it, as it was late, and they added the tab to the room. Delightful!”

“Large pleasant room and bathroom with balcony. Wooden furniture and a desk and seating area . Hotel and room spotlessly clean. Quality products for breakfast , although always the same, served in a lovely breakfast room with views over the high street. Wonderful position in the middle of the beautiful Staufen so great having free car park . Polite, helpful staff. The Konus card provided by the hotel for free black forest trains is a big plus, Staufen train station is five minutes walk away.”

“The location in the "pedestrian only" part of the old city was excellent, the bedding and pillows were perfect and the price for three nights was a good value. The staff refreshed our room while we were at breakfast. We parked in public lot P11 at the end of the street and paid for a short time. The owners then gave us a parking pass for the rest of our three-night stay. Make sure you ask about the Konus Card program that the hotel participates in. We were not given information at check-in, but the next day, an employee suggested it. It allows free travel on all public transport in the area, as well as reduced admission fees to several attractions. The brochure was called Big and Small Adventures and it was in English! It gave great detail on available things to see and do in the surrounding area, as well as a map.”
