“Within an elderly palace, all the modern facilities were to be found. The restaurant was very good indeed with excellent food and choice of wine. The staff in the restaurant were young but top quality - always there when you wanted them and never hovering close to the table. Their knowledge of the ingredients and the style of cooking could not be bettered. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were top quality. Plenty of space in both. The grounds were lovely and it was a joy to walk around the rhododendron garden and to walk 15 minutes to the sea. What a lot of people miss here are the sitting rooms - I counted eight or nine all beautifully furnished and all with marvelous views over the garden.”

“We vonden het leuk dat er (natuurlijke) verzorgingsproducten aanwezig waren in de badkamer, alsook scrub en gezichtsmasker. We hebben éénmalig in de bistro gegeten en dit was prijzig maar wel héél lekker, een aanrader. De dag dat we uitcheckten moesten we vroeg door en was ons ontbijt klaar gezet in een papieren zak, dat vonden we wel aangenaam. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, dat wel. Het kasteel laat toe om vrij rond te kuieren, heel mooi.”
