“The hotel made a perfect base for exploring the beautiful mountain surroundings of the small city. Set in its own grounds, the hotel was peaceful and easy to access. Breakfast was available early if wanted, and the buffet included every item of the traditional Turkish breakfast, with a lady making interesting pancakes with cheese or spinach at the weekends. The room was large and airy, with spectacular views across the new lake. The bed was comfortable, shower was admirably controllable, and the aircon efficient and quiet. The staff were all incredibly helpful - if anyone could not follow our request, a quick phone call to Mr Bulent immediately sorted it; when Bulent was on duty, he was constantly anticipating our needs and helping us. Dinner was available from 6.30 and the menu had a good range of dishes, mostly of the kofte and sis variety; most guests were eating Ramadan food, that was on a changing daily menu.”
