“Beautiful family Finca with spacious, tranquil garden, including flowers, palm trees, aviary, relaxing shaded hammock area, lovely pool, fruit trees, and even a resident peacock, pea hens and turkey! Exotic wild birds and cute toads at night complete this rural idyll. The location is totally stunning, in the middle of plantain and coffee plantations that you can walk through. I'm an avid walker and loved wandering for miles in this beautiful setting with few cars or people. But just as memorable was the lovely Colombian family (husband is Dutch so there is one excellent English speaker if like me your Spanish is pitiful). They were so warm and friendly and treated me like family and went to such efforts to chat to me despite my lack of Spanish. In a three month trip full of fantastic experiences, this has been my highlight! It was with a truly heavy heart that I left this place but I am hoping to return before I fly home. Magical place!”
