“Room was large & comfortable, nice beds & nice shower. It was a bit of a walk to the sauna & hot tub, but worth it. Nice to have a hot soak after a day of hiking up & down. Breakfast was good, nothing really outstanding.”

“Excellent hotel. The room was clean and spacious and just perfect for our family of 4 - two adults and two children under 12. Breakfast was included and we could use the hot tub free of charge. Nothing much nearby, but we didn't need anything - the hotel restaurant was very good for a nice dinner.”
“The hotel was in a great position for touring the Golden circle and was close to the town of Selfoss which had some places to eat and shops. The breakfast was good with a wide variety to choose from. The second room we were given had been refurbished, but on a budget with a quick lick of paint and some cheap modern furnishings.However this was of a better standard than our first room.”
“The hotel is lovely, in an isolated area about 15 minutes drive from Selfoss. The dinner was delicious (best lamb my husband had ever had, and my salmon was very good) and the dining room is beautiful. The staff was conscientious and friendly, especially the women at the reception desk. Free parking, wifi and breakfast were included. However the room had drawbacks: uncomfortable beds, poor shower that created pools of water on the bathroom floor, and the toilet was not seated properly emitting odours. I would love to give this hotel a higher rating because of the wonderful staff (shout out to Siggi, whose farm is next door, and who chatted with us providing us with fascinating info re their way of life) but the rooms really need upgrading. We gave feedback to the reception staff who took the information seriously and promised to inform the "fixit man".”
“Very clean, stylish and well located hotel with frindly staff. The hottub outside is perfect for star-gasing and watching the northern lights! It was a highlight of our stay! The staff was very helpful and gave a few good recommendations on our way! Wish our stay there was longer.”
“We stayed in the family room. Really comfortable with the master bed and two additional separate beds in the other room. Spotlessly clean, great food at the restaurant (could rival a NYC fancy restaurant both in quality and presentation) and impressive breakfast buffet in the morning with everything you could ask for. Excellent coffee. Staff very friendly. Very quiet location. Would return.”
