“This family-run hotel is taken care of with much love and attention. It is tastefully decorated in the regional style with family memorabilia adding a homely atmosphere to this property. The bedrooms are very comfortable - we were allocated a double room with extra bed at the same cost as the double room. Our window and terrace afforded lovely views looking over the mountains. The beds are very comfortable. The personal toiletries even included a small tube of toothpaste and toothbrushes. Breakfast was ample - we were offered a selection of freshly cooked eggs apart from the buffet offerings. The hotel is located in a valley, surrounded by mountains and overlooked by Hollenberg castle. It is ideally located if visiting businesses in the Ferlach and Strau areas. In spring and summertime it is also an ideal base for hiking and trekking the region.”
