“It was close to the Airport and it was a good solution for a night's stay. The room was basic but comfortable - we didn't need anything more for a night. The bathroom was clean. The restaurant offered us a good dinner - pizza was delicious, and breakfast was good - you had scrambled eggs and bacon, cheese and cold cuts, cereals, pastries and milk, tea, juice and coffee (Americano, you had to pay for an espresso...). In any case, plentiful breakfast served from 6 am.”

“The Tulip is a business-style first-rate hotel near the airport, though surprisingly quiet, at a reasonable rate. I paid E49 for a room arguably worth much more (I booked 2 months ahead, not my usual modus operandi, as I knew I had a flight leaving from Fiumicino at 0600, so I needed to be close). It took a little to figure out their shuttle from the airport (with the train stop from Roma, the 3 terminals, and the extensive outside area near Arrivals), but once done, was a 15 min ride to the hotel. Same again at 0430 to Fiumicino for the flight. E6 for the 1st shuttle; early morning one was E8, again not unreasonable. Efficient, no headache. Staff were uniformly friendly and efficient. Only thing missing was my 0400 wakeup call, but I had set an alarm also. Nothing bad to say, and I'm sure with their pool and nearby eatery and drinkery, would be superb in the summer (though my trip was at the end of November).”
