Wonderful staff, gorgeous food in hotel's restaurant, teamed with very, very nice service during mealtime AND very generous portions. Deventer itself is a gem, with great history and art, a fine river to walk next to, beautiful nature and countryside roads nearby, perfect for hiking and riding trips.”

“Fabulous in every way. Loved the little touches - ear plugs, our individual toaster near our breakfast table, heated seats on the terrace chairs and the infallible service. The fact that the hotel turned out to rent bikes made (in fact saved!) our Sunday - coming from the big city, we had not appreciated that all stores and bicycle rentals would be closed on a Sunday.”
“Surely one of the most glamorous single rooms in the country! Gorgeous burnt-orange and russet velvet and brocade drapes plus a very comfy bed. The individual breakfast service was OK as hams and cheeses offered were of superb quality (but would have preferred a buffet, to be honest). Bathroom huge and well-equipped, if designed for a giant. This boutique hotel in a historic building is close to the river and within walking distance of the city centre.”
