“Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, it's safe to say, was on of the highlights of our Swiss holiday. The town of Zermatt is superb, and I am so glad that we chose to stay at this hotel - the location is excellent, being a short walk through the centre of town from the train station, the view is excellent (we had a perfect view of The Matterhorn from our suite), and the service friendly and professional. The hotel itself is a gorgeous building, and the view from the glass roof of the breakfast room is stunning. We unfortunately did not get a chance to ride in the horse drawn carriage, however it was an option for transfers to the train station. Welcome drinks on the terrace after check-in was a welcome touch, and our suite was comfortable with plenty of room. We dined each night at two of the hotel's restaurants, and found them welcoming and the food excellent. We used the pool and spa facilities each day (which, by the way, also have a view of The Matterhorn).”
“Over all expectations! Everything was excellent. All the staff was wonderful and super helpful. We were picked up at the train station by an electric taxi that belongs to the hotel (free of charge) and brought back on departure day by horse and carriage (also free of charge) and it was wonderful! The breakfast was excellent! You can get the eggs exactly as you want. The service was just perfect on all points. The spa area was also great. Everything was clean and nice and the views of the matterhorn was superb. ”
“The hotel is quiet the heart of Zermatt with long tradition and in a good shape. The staff is very professional and friendly, most of the very young employees fresh and mostly on a good way! Perfectly you can have relaxing hours in the small spa rooms and nice moments on the terrasse with very cosy sofas.”
