“Love this place. Its out of Kyoto, but the train service is excellent. Get the multiday train pass and its easy to come and go from the hotel. Restaurants at the hotel are very good. The royal floor is worth the extra because you get free entry to the lounge.”
“I did not have breakfeast as i felt it was expensive and i would not have eaten much”
“Beautiful hotel and we can't recommend Grand Prince highly enough.. The location was restful and very relaxing and we felt like we were alone in the middle of a pine forest. Neighbourhood shops were close (for milk and biscuits :-)) with the subway station only a short 10 minute walk away. The train into Kyoto was cheap and only took 20 minutes.”
“So grateful they upgraded us to a suite room, as it was our 25th wedding anniversary”
“This hotel would be good for a business conference.”
“Far away from main station but easy access to and fro subway to Kyoto station.”

“Hotel counter in Kyoto station to deliver baggage was great...”
“Big spacious rooms, easy to find from subway at the end of the line (signposted and a covered walkway), I liked the fact we could check in our luggage at kyoto station as they have a desk there, (before?2pm) when we arrived and they took it to the hotel so we could start sight seeing straight away, I only discovered this from somebody else's review very handy to know, details of the opening times are on hotels website. Comfy beds, pillows, nice shampoo/shower gels.....”
