“This is a standard no-frills business hotel which gives you a good night’s sleep for a very good price. The hotel is located in a quiet town with not much happening except the firework festivals. It is - however - conviniently located if you happen to travel by train/shinkansen to the different attractions/activities in Akita(Extremely convinient for JR pass holders!). Even though the hotel seems old, it’s surprisingly well maintained. The staffs are friendly and are glad to help you with your requests(even though english skills ain’t top notch). This won’t be my last time to Akita and I’d gladly stay here again.”
“I've stayed there SIX times. 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015 & 2017. Most likely staying in 2018.”
“Good standards, super soft pajamas, comfortable room, good noise insulation.”
“Good standards, soundproof rooms, nice sentoo, super soft pajamas, comfortable mattress and pillows, good location, less than 10 minutes from station. Ask for a room facing the main crossing, because the other side is uglier; though most likely they won't understand you.”
“The room is super clean. My room at top most floor facing sunrise was awesome. The Japanese style breakfast is delicious and good for the money..Really recommended.”
“I couldn't find affordable hotels near Kakunodate and Tazawako Station, so I chose this one. Overall it's good and worth the price. If you want to travel around Tazawako and Kakunodate, you may take local train in early morning and afternoon with cheaper price than shinkansen. There are large sized lockers in Omagari Station. On the night I stayed in Nyuto Onsen, I decided to bring small bag and put the large one in locker at Omagari Station. Breakfast here was delicious. I got one set in Japanese style and they also provided ABF buffet.”
