“Room very nice and provided everything we needed for 2 night stay. Beds were VERY comfortable. Had the best night's sleep in ages. Food at son's wedding meal was fabulous - couldn't be faulted. Don't think I've had nicer roast beef anywhere. The whole wedding package was excellent from the "chapel" to the private room where we dined. Breakfast was good, excellent choice of hot and cold food and more tea, coffee and toast provided on request.”
“The location and local facilities were ideal. The staff were very friendly and attentive. In particular the young dining room waitress,in her first job, who was a credit to herself and the hotel.”
“Room was comfy and overlooked the entrance to the park like grounds. It was a good stopover spot in travelling into Dumfries and Galloway. Staff were pleasant to two elderly overnighters. Good fire in the bar.”
