“Hotel sol is NOT a hotel; it is student accommodation at the local agricultural university which is empty over the summer break. It is ideally located to explore " the golden circle " of Iceland. The kitchen is adequate enough to prepare all meals , a great saving in Iceland. Good internet but no TV in our apartment. Great local advice from manager.”
“Part of the Agricultural University campus, our "student accommodation" was very spacious and very clean. Views were fabulous.”
“Super-huge rooms; peaceful; clean; great breakfast buffet; friendly service.”
“It was more like staying with family and friends than a hotel. The staff was very helpful and really wanted your stay at Hotel Sol to be a wonderful experience.”
“Picturesque location. Large room, with kitchen facilities that allowed us to make our own meals.”
“It was quiet and had a fairly nice view of the mountains.”
“Great value for the price - the apartments are clean and new, the location is pretty good for exploring the sights in Reykjavik area. The rooms feauture a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, private bathrooms and a lot of space for clothes. The hotel operates only in summer (until mid-August), as for the rest of the year it serves as housing for students from a nearby university. We liked everything about our stay, and would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.”
“Extraordinary meeting, with this room, which proved be, an apartment; entrance, living room, dining table, corner kitchen and large bathroom, nothing was missing, fantastic! We wish we could stay for a few day later. Value for money, that there is all.”
“appartment hotel with a spacy apartment for a familly. over all a simple place ,which is fine for us but the price was similler to much nicer places we where at on this same trip.”
“Plenty of space. Very clean. Basic - but covered the essentials. Not far from Boregas.”
