“Really friendly hosts, Sophia and Maarten, who did everything possible to help from luggage to advice about walks and roads. Nice room in a quiet hotel with delicious dinner and breakfast. Very good about gluten intolerance. Very dog friendly.”
“Really welcoming and helpful staff, bike friendly with safe storage and lots of help with routes etc. gluten free options and very tasty and good value food.”
“Food was amazing and great value. Staff always very helpful and knowledgable. Really cycling friendly too.”
“The staff and management were very accommodating and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel to anyone - especially bikers”
“Huge welcome from the owners (Hollanders) if speaking French is out of your range, then their English may be as good as yours. The food was top notch, star stuff but enough on the plate to satisfy a hungry cyclist after some big hills! They are very accommodating and helpful with hints on where to go. Don't worry about reports the the roadfrom the Col de Lauteret is closed, the alternative is passable unless you are in a truck or large campervan If you are a cyclist intent on the Alp D'Huez climb, do a bit extra and come back via the Col de Sarenne, ask them!”
“The owners (hosts) are wonderful people. So friendly and helpful. They really go the extra mile. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Stayed for two nights while doing some cycling and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The dinners were also outstanding.”
“The Owners & Staff are very friendly and focused on making your stay as nice as possible. The food (dinner) is excellent, the hotel and rooms are simple but clean and functional.”
“Excellent meal in evening and great hosts. Beautiful location. Friendly owners.”
“Service was impecable, they really made us feel welcome and special. Food was fantastic, most of it (not to say all) bio, perfect breakfast. Very cosy atmosphere and againour hosts were really friendly and nice! Will definitely return!”
“Dinners were fantastic, imaginative, high standard cooking and the 'prix fixe' price is unbelievable value. Room 15 overlooks the valley at the back of the hotel and is a double bed with shower. Lots of storage and good old fashioned radiators which are great for drying. Warm welcome from the owners Maarten and Sophia, and great service throughout our stay, with nothing too much trouble. For example no 'English breakfast tea' on days 1' it was there for day 2! Great wine recommendations to match the food. Great location between several resorts for skiers, and for cyclists near the Alpe D'Huez Tour de France finish. Also, for cyclists, there is a secure storage for the bikes. Highly recommended.”
