“We started booking for our late-July stay in Verdon too late (April), so Castellane and Moustiers were fully booked already. La Bastide turned out to be a peaceful option 40 mins from Point Sublime and 25 mins from Castellane by car. The hotel is a friendly, quiet family business. The room was clean but a little worn out with old wall-to-wall carpet. Bathroom had been renovated recently and was very clean. The hotel restaurant was Ok for the Saturday dinner. Breakfast was classic French. Verdon itself is gorgeous, both the drives and hikes!”
