“I really liked the style of Hosteria De Mi Pueblo which is traditional with lots of timber and heavy furniture. My room had a pleasant garden view. Filandia is a small town and the hotel is only a block from the main square and lots of restaurants/cafes. I found it clean and efficiently run. The owner, Steven speaks fluent English and could not have been more helpful. I stayed in Salento and Filandia and I enjoyed both but Filandia more. It felt less touristy and more "authentic".”
“Friendly, knowledgeable proprietor. The hostel was a former family home and was comfortable like a favourite old chair. Our room had a wall-sized window that opened onto a private garden full of birds and plants. It was a peaceful room. The bed was large and firm. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was unremarkable but included fresh fruit, coffee, eggs, bread and Colombian hot chocolate. All guests sit at one dining table which we like. The shower had hot water and a steady stream.”

“In all aspects our stay at Hosteria di Mi Pueblo was by far our best in Colombia so far. The stay really had it all, from very nice and clean interior, excellent location, and breakfast in nice surroundings. However, what really stands out is the eagerness from Steve and his team in making absolutely sure that guests are happy. This includes all the advice about Finlandia one could want (in English or Spanish), and arranging trips if necessary. In addition Steve makes fantastic coffee and lots of it! We would recommend staying here for anyone travelling to lovely Finlandia.”
