“excellent location. very friendly concierge, who was the owner. she was apologetic for seeming offhand but had suffered a family bereavement. I didn't find her offhand but my partner said she was once. she made a real effort over my partner's gluten free diet. very strong on recycling.”
“Rooms exactly as described, very clean and comfortable. The central location means the hotel is just a very short walk to the market square and all that Bruges has to offer. The hotel is easy to find on foot, having walked from the train station which only took 20 minutes. (A taxi costs about 8 Euros). Veronique, the owner, is a fabulous host. Very knowledgable and informative and always on hand to assist with any questions etc. I would definitely stay again.”
“The breakfast was very tasty. The room is clean. The location is nice”
“Lovely comfortable rooms - large bathroom Continental breakfast - good choice of cheese Very close to the centre of Bruge Helpful host”
“Owner was lovely. I was travelling on my own and she kept a gentle eye on me plus great recommendations for trips and restaurants.”
“The hotel occupies a beautiful traditional building full of character and period charm. It is ideally situated close to all of the sights of Bruges and on the doorstep of a great choice of places to eat and drink. The proprietor was very helpful and considerate of her guests. ”
“Fabulous hotel , we have stayed at this hotel before and it was just as beautiful as the first time. Very nice continental breakfast , plenty to keep you going all day. Veronica the owner is a wonderful host and very friendly, helpful and informative. Nothing was to much trouble when asking for advice on what to do in the area. Rooms were lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect, just 2 minutes walk from the market square and restaurants. We used their garage for parking which was great and very convenient. Definitely recommend the Alegria.”
“Very convenient, welcoming, and charming hotel a few minutes away from the Markt and in an area with a variety of restaurants and bars. I walked everywhere in Bruges including to and from the railway station dragging a heavy case! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.”
“Bed was comfortable, close to the centre, could unload and load at the hotel. Breakfast was good, tea and coffee in the room. Very friendly lady owner where nothing was to much trouble.”
“Hotel Alegria was very accommodating, clean non smoking rooms, but you could do this in the little garden at the rear of the hotel. Very helpful about the best places to eat. 3 minute walk to the market square”
