The hotel buildings were converted to the hotel by the Artetxe family, who continue to run the hotel. Nowadays it blends original, typically Basque features with a fashionable, minimalist style and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and air conditioning. Location great as it was away from the city yet close to the funicular which takes you into the city.
