“A delightful family-type hotel a short walk away from bus transport to central Rome and a train to the airport. Located in a pleasant residential area with numerous good, authentic restaurants within a ten-minute walk. Particularly friendly and helpful reception staff.”
“We stayed at Hotel Aventino for three nights and loved it! The location is perfect: right on a metro stop, and walking distance to some of Rome's best attractions (Trastevere neighborhood, Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Palatine Hill, the Mouth of Truth, etc.), but the Aventine Hill is a quiet area away from the tourist masses, so you will sleep soundly! Breakfast in the morning was great--lots of typical Italian fare like pastries, yogurt, fruit, meat/cheese/bread and cappuccino (don't expect eggs and bacon). Our room was spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. We found the staff to be very helpful and kind. I had previously lived in Rome, so felt comfortable doing things myself, but if you need assistance, the staff was happy to help arrange tours, book museum tickets, give directions, etc. Would definitely recommend!”
