“Incredible views of the valley below. Tons of hiking trails around. Too bad it was pouring rain the day we were there.”
“Beautiful view over the Castle Ruins, Faaker See, and greater Villach area. Good breakfast including great pesto and mini mozzarella balls. It has a nice terrace with the same lovely view with lots of dinner options.”
“I hiked the 21. stage of Alpe Adria trail from Velden am Wörthersee to Baumgartnerhöhe with friends, so the property was a logical place to sleep, since it sits right at the end of the stage. The view from the apartment was spectacular and both the sunrise and the sunset can be seen magnificently. The hotel shows its age, but it seems that it has been cared for during the years, which gives it a rustic feel. The location can also be a great start for hikes further into the Karawanks.”
