“The location is great, directly opposite Elevator Reina Victoria exit with great view from the rooms in the front area.”
“The location was perfect. Right at the top of the funicular and in the middle of a lot of action.”
“Easy to get to, Casa Vander is right next to the Ascensor Reina Victoria. Lovely staff - everyone seems to have a great singing voice :) Decent breakfast with eggs made to order and classic tunes played in the dining room - think 80's Argentinian pop rock hits and Jamiroquai. Amazing views from the front bedrooms - bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper though as people tend to hang out near the ascensor talking and playing music until late in the night. Excellent restaurants and bars in the area.”
“Excellent location with character. The hotel fits with the local area , bright yellow with a history. Great restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful and friendly”
“The building old style and the location. Wifi good enough. The public lift just outside.”
“This is the perfect location as a tourist in Valparaiso. You can walk anywhere. The view is fantastic, and you can even go hang out on the roof. Breakfast was good, and the staff is very kind and friendly. Even those that didn't speak English were very helpful.”
“Don't expect to get much sleep on Friday or Sat night here as it's party central in the square right at the end of the building for 20-30 year olds. Seems to be the popular gathering spot when we were there. The commotion didn't quiet down till 4 am. Still it's a wonderful hotel.”
“Right next to the funicular, nice rooms, next to great restaurants, sights and attractions walkable from location.”
“Classical music in the morning no disco music fresh juice, omelet and warm bread in the morning and the location was perfect if you want to experience Valparaiso from the best side”
“Staff was incredibly helpful. Traveling companion was running a fever and they helped us get a doctor to the hotel to treat him. Location was perfect, great ocean views. Place is converted house. Wonderful walks from there around the hillside and downtown Valparaiso was within easy walking distance (down the hill). There are funiculars around the area which were fun to ride.”
