“Friendly reception. The attended waited for us until 11:30 PM. Spacious newly designed room with balcony. Beautiful view on the countryside.”
“Characteristic old half-timbered farm building converted to hotel. Pretty courtyard, sunny front terrace and likewise sunny rear terrace under the walnut trees with view of the fields and hills beyond. Sufficient off-street car parking beside hotel. Plenty of cosy pubs and cafes nearby for a drink or meal. The walking routes in the surroundings are spectacular. You need to climb the hills to admire the view, but it is well worth the effort, especially with the autumn colours. We did a 12km round trip hike from Mechelen to Epen and back in perfect weather, with a couple of cafe stops along the way, whenever the route emerged from the forests or fields into one of the charming little villages or towns.”
