“Being within the historic town within walking distance was a bonus. Parking was easy and so was finding the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful but as it was winter there were few other guest so no bar etc and it was too cold for the pool. The view was good, but the rooms were small. The place is older but clean.”
“Considering that it is a 3 star, at a reasonable price, one cannot expect much ... On the positive side: - Large room, acceptable breakfast (at a 3 star level), with (apparently) natural orange juice, very close to the center (everything is walking distance), with free parking, and a small pool.”

“The pool was very relaxing and quiet. Unfortunately a problem with the pump closed the pool for the last days of our stay. The hotel offered free admission to the public pool across the road during this time. This was a very good thing, although the lack of shade and the boisterous crowds of people did not offer the same relaxation as the hotel pool.”
“This was our third visit and again we found the hotel at a quiet time just after a busy Easter., but this time, the weather was warm and sunny There is plenty of parking and we were able to park by the entrance. The rooms have old fashioned charm and are kept very clean, as is typical in Portugal. The bed was comfortable. We greatly enjoyed meeting again our young receptionist friend who was brought up in England. Wi-fi in the room worked straight away without problem. Castelo de Vide is a very attractive town indeed and the hotel is just a short and level walk from the centre.”
