“We were cycling the Via de la Plata and needed to stop overnight in Guijelo. The town is essentially devoted to agricultural business as it is the centre of the Jamon Iberico industry. It is not a draw for tourists. This hotel is almost certainly aimed at the business market but it is exceptionally comfortable and sophisticated. We ate in the hotel's restaurant and the meal was excellent, as was brealfast the following morning.”

“The owner is very helpful and hands on and assisted me in many ways, the major one securing a taxi at a reasonable rate to skip a very hard stage in the pilgrimage route to santiago on the Via de la Plata. The room was impeccable in every way and the breakfast was excellent. The view from my balcony had horses in a pasture and snow covered mts even though we were in an industrial city.”
