“We were greeted by the warm receptionist when we arrived. The hotel is only 2 storeys and our room is on the second floor. She even offered to help us with moving our luggage up the stairs. What an awesome lady! It is not a very big hotel but it is one which has been through times. It does not look old but it managed to retain some of its historical decor while still looking modern from the exterior. All in all, we had a good stay.”
“Hofn is a charming little town, and this hotel was a perfect jumping off point for our visits to all the nearby attractions. It was raining heavily the day we arrived, with very limited visibility. But it cleared up the next day and we were treated to a beautiful view of two glaciers in the far-off distance, from our room. The rooms are average sized, but comfortable enough. The toiletries were DIVINE - they are from this Icelandic brand called Sóley Organics. We loved them so much my wife found a store which carries these products and decided to bring home a few. Staff were extremely nice and helpful, but then, everyone we met in Iceland was super nice! Breakfast selection was decent. We highly recommend this hotel if you are in Hofn!”
