“I liked the peace, Jardim do Mar is a really quiet place, far from traffic and noise. I liked the view from the room and especially from the restaurant. And the possibility to walk in the town and on the mountainside track.”

“It is not particularly easy to get to Jardim do Mar but once there, the remoteness contributes to the special atmosphere of the town. The hotel is literally at the best spot with a magnificent view over the bay. It is worth having a room with sea view and a balcony. The roof terrace is amazing for having dinner.”
“We arrived at 20.30 to find the bedroom we should have had was water damaged and initially we were unsure what was happening... they eventually had followed us in the car about 3 km (though they suggested it was 1 km!) to a new build property ...we were only there for the one night...so it was fine really....just a bit of a pain having travelled all day from the UK to Madeira.”

“We were received by the son of the owners, who was so nice, it's a family run business and you really feel that they really want their guests to be happy. The seaview was fantastic, definitely pay the 5 euros (or more) extra for a seaview. I think we got upgraded as we had a huge terrace overlooking the crashing washes and slept listening to the sound of the sea. The room was very big, spacious and airy. We liked the village, small but cute, only a couple of restaurants, we ate at a cafe with a terrace overlooking the sea and the food was great. Though there isn´t much to do here, it's a good base for exploring the area and we preferred it to Paul do Mar which is just next door if you fancy somewhere busier in the evening.”
