“This hotel is right next to a mainline train station and it was straightforward for us to get trains in to and out of Milan, and up to the lakes for days out, both trips being about 40 minutes in air-conditioned inexpensive trains. Taxi transfer from the airport were 30 euros, and Gallarate is a lovely town for eating out. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and beds comfortable. You do hear the trains at night but it's not something I minded.”
