“It was a day in Alba Iulia. Directly situated in the castle the accomodation puts you directly in history of the Karlsburg. Never had such a close impression of former days. This is a great experienc for yourself and famalies.”

“Historic & elegant hotel located within the walls of a fortress - our room was spacious & decorated with periodic inspired furniture complete with a clawfoot bathtub. The admission to the citadel grounds surrounding the hotel is included with the cost of the room (including a free tour). The park has secret passages to explore, lovely views, and many other historic buildings on site. Staff are dressed in full reenactment attire, and were very helpful. A definite must stay in Alba Iulia.”
“It was even better than we had expected, like going back in time into a palatial setting with friendly staff in period costumes and the hotel in the middle of a wonderful setting. The noon changing of the guard, complete with guards in character and costume and some on horse back was wonderful to watch. The three fortifications exhibit was fantastic especially so with the very knowledgeable and charming guide, Florina. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant provided both my wife and myself with superb meals.”
