“The staff at the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. Pointed out the best places to visit and suggested what you could do. Within 5-10 mins walk of the wall around Lucca we were able to leave the hotel and do the full circuit easily. Parking is also pretty straightforward AND they allowed us to leave the car there after we had checked out.”
“My friend and I stayed at Hotel Melecchi for two weeks and had a great time. The hotel is a beautiful place run by a very friendly family: Marino, his wife Rosella, and their son Giovanni. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay, and they even provided transportation to and from the train station (Giovanni was nice enough to drop us off at 5:45 AM when we checked out!). The location was perfect: it's in a quiet spot about 8-10 minutes from the city wall by foot. The room was pretty and the beds were very comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast each morning in the Italian style: light and delicious. (The jam is incredible, so be sure to apply some to your croissant!) We will miss the hotel and our fantastic hosts! If you ever visit Lucca, Hotel Melecchi is the very best place to stay!!”
