“The accommodation was basic. The door could not be locked when we went out. The washroom turned into a wet room the shower was used, even the toilet roll got wet. No rack to hang the damp towels. The staff were doing their best to mask the shortcomings of the owners of the property.”

“At the beginning we choose this city Bandarawela just because we cannot book the ideal hotel in Haputale. We have no any expectation of it. Finally we find that it is good to stay one night in this small and lovely villa. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the staffs are helpful. Their restaurant is open to public and the food is excellent. We have very tasty squid dish here.”

“This hotel is half way between the coast and Kandy, so is the perfect place to break your journey. It is a hidden gem close to Bandarawela centre, spacious rooms,a lounge with a piano and lovely well maintained gardens. Arrive in the afternoon wander the local shops( the textile shops are great for those who remember the haberdasheries of yore ) then head home for dinner. When we arrived we were ushered into the lounge for a welcome juice, the staff showed us the dinner menu and we made our choices...all delicious. They arranged drinks for us and when they noticed us glued to the Olympic marathon(flat screen TVs in our room), they re-set the dinner on a table in our room and served us there.Breakfast was equally delightful. The staff were unobtrusive, efficient and welcoming making the whole experience memorable.The whole hotel was clean and well maintained and as a bonus had cableTV.
