“From bed to breakfast, this hotel is replete with character. Housed in a 100+ year old building in Santiago's ambient old quarter, you really get a feeling for a spirit of Santiago that seems to be tragically disappearing in favour of mass market, urban culture. Each detail of the rooms feels personal and authentic, with that nameless romanticism you can only find in places like this area, or certain quarters of Buenos Aires. The owner took a personal hand in ensuring that I had all the information I needed at my disposal: where to go, where to eat, and how to get there. With his help, my opening moments in Santiago set the stage for a truly beautiful experience in Chile.”
“Francisco, our host, was absolutely wonderful. At the start of our stay, he took us for a walk around the local neighbourhood and pointed out all the local attractions - including some wonderful small restaurants!! Not only did he provide us each day with a beautiful breakfast that was presented like a high tea, but he would recommend to us tourist attractions that we would find appealing and then give detailed directions on how to get there. The hotel was really more a B&B stay, but done in a lovely old world atmosphere. My daughter and I really enjoyed our week here. The local metro station was only a 5 minute walk and major stops like Plaza des Armas only a couple of stops along. Very handy!!”
“Very kind host. I also liked they style of the hotel a lot.”
“Franciso was a delightful person who showed us around the streets, Where do eat and what to see takes pride in his hotel”
“The hotel (which is a B & B) is in an old quarter and with a few charming streets. The owner is the soul of the hotel. Very kind and very helpful. The care and affection that he offers to guests are impeccable. He went out with us to show us the neighborhood and gave us suggestions of where to eat in very good nearby restaurants and bars. He also gave us precious information for city tours. Undoubtedly, he is the great highlight of the hotel. You can speak in English, French, Spanish and Portunhol. The decor of the hotel is quite interesting with a cozy internal courtyard. For those with locomotion problems it is necessary to request a room on the ground floor. The stairway to the upper rooms is steep. Breakfast is very good. It was like our home breakfast. Subway station nearby and you can go all around the city by subway. The transfer from and to the airport was excelente. French spoken here too!!”
“A lovely small hotel with interesting rooms, eating and sitting areas. The host is exceptional - he helped us though a difficult situation. Very near the metro and great bars. A real find. Lots of good advice from the owner about what to do, restaurants and organising taxis. Good breakfasts. Altogether brilliant.”
“Francesco offered the best 'meet and greet service" in town!”
“Francisco was an amazing host. His beautiful rooms are located in a smaller neighborhood off the normal tourist path. His rooms are clean and he has a nice terrace on the roof to relax. The breakfast in the morning was great as well. He provided us a walking tour of the neighborhood and recommended delicious restaurants for a bite to eat. The location is close to the metro for easy access to other parts of the city.”
“Beautiful building and well decorated. The owner was so kind and even gave us a walking tour of the area and coupons for complementary pisco sours at a nearby historic restaurant.”
“A most charming hotel in a very quiet location. The host was most pleasant, spoke very good English, gave very helpful advice and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend this small and unique hotel to all.”
