“This is a pretty hotel right in the centre of Lugano, near the lake and the park. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. They speak English, German and Italian (and probably more). The rooms are very clean and well laid out. Quiet too. Our bathrooms were shared but that is really no problem. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, although here you might need to have your Italian or German handy. Restaurant prices were very good for Switzerland - certainly the best value we found on our whole trip. The food was delicious. Our room rate included breakfast, which had a very good variety. It is possible to walk to the hotel from the station, but it is a fair way. Definitely advisable to get the bus on the way back due to the climb. The bus stops right outside the hotel front door. We loved this place. I can pretty much guarantee you will love it too.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff (speaking Italian, English, German and French!). Central location. Many choices at breakfast buffet (Bircher Muesli included) with soft eggs and many coffee choices upon request. The breakfast room is a restaurant at night. I saw daily special meals at fair prices for Switzerland, but had no chance to eat there. WiFi is fast and reliable; you get an individual code for each device. Had a room with bathroom - modern and spacious. Saw the hallway bath shower and toilet - also modern. To compensate for the parking fee the hotel offered a free "Ticino Ticket" which provides free access to public transport in the Ticino region and discounts on several attractions including the cable cars up the surroundings mountains. From the hotel you can take bus 2 or 3 to get to Mt. Bre (bus #2 drops you off a bit closer) which takes about 5 minutes or you walk some 15 minutes. Mt. Bre is highly recommended as you can see all the way to Milano on a good day.”
