“The location was perfect for me: very close to the conference I was attending. The hotel was across the river from the old town and very close to the Rhine, so it was a quieter place that was still scenic. The town centre was easily accessible via a footbridge that was straight down to the Rhine from the hotel, and there was also a bridge for vehicles very nearby. (I went to and from the centre at least once every day for 5 days, taking one bridge there and the other one back, and it was a very pleasant walk.) The young gentleman at Reception was a gem: very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast looked really good, but I don't eat right away when I get up, so I never tasted it. The room was very... ahem... "compact", but I knew that going in and paid a reasonable price for high season and good location.”
