“The hotel is located in a old house of the nobility with an history of more than 500 years. Now it's managed by the Mayr family. The room was incredibly spacious, clean, with super high bedframes and warm comfortable bedding. Antique furnishings (our wardrobe was dated 1798!) and nice old pictures on the wall add to the flair of the place. We especially loved the breakfast room, with a view on the idyllic biergarten - and of course the homemade jams and delicious cold cuts being served.”
“Hotel Post is in a beautiful historic building, characteristic of Mauterndorf. It is in the very heart of the small town. The ski bus to all nearby ski resorts stops just 50m from the front door. The ladies who run the place are extremely welcoming and helpful. It is good value for money, with a decent breakfast included. The public areas are both grand, in a traditional Salzburg-Alpine way, and cosy. The restaurant, dining hall and cafe are beautiful, partly historic, spaces.”
“Hotel was right in the city center and not that far from the ski resort. Staff was really helpful and friendly, room was very clean and nice. Simply normal level that you expect in Austria. Switzerland or Germany. For other countries it'd be awesomely great.”

“Eine sehr schöne persönliche Unterkunft, die Betten waren super bequem. Das Frühstück war gut aber nicht so reichhaltig. Das Essen im Restaurant war super lecker.”

“Zum Frühstück stand für alle Gäste ( ca. 6 - 8) ein Dessert Teller mit Wurst und etwas Käse sowie Butter und Marmelade bereit. Es wurde zwar nachgefragt ob alles passt oder ob man noch etwas möchte . . . Dekorativer wäre doch eine Frühstücksplatte gewesen mit Paprika, Essiggurkerl etc. gewesen. Obst (Bananen und Äpfel) standen zur Verfügung. Kaffee war in einer großen Thermoskanne. Den musste man sich vom anderen Tisch holen.”
“Das mitten im Zentrum am Marktplatz gelegene Hotel ist einfach ein Traum und absolut empfehlenswert! Es ist ein historisches Gebäude, welches Familie Mayr auf edlem Niveau wieder hergerichtet hat ohne die Geschichte dieses Gebäudes zu vernachlässigen. Das Personal ist sehr, sehr nett und außerordentlich hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und das Essen ist lecker. Dieses Traditionshotel ist einfach ein MUSS für jeden Urlauber/Besucher in Mauterndorf!!!”
