“The room was small but just enough, and with great view!”
“The staff are just lovely and can't do enough to help. I liked the faded grandeur of the hotel. They are slowly renovating and parts of it are a bit tatty but I personally enjoyed that. The breakfasts include a variety of pastries, ham, cheese, bread, coffee yoghurt. I would have liked some muesli and fruit but I think the breakfast is fine. My large room was quiet and comfortable, up at the back of the hotel. There was a modern safety deposit box and a huge bathroom, TV and efficient air conditioning.”
“Excellent location, close to restaurants, subway and sights. The hotel is in a really old and beautiful building with huge rooms, high ceilings, etc. Quite impressive! Nice and helpful staff.”
“The staff was very helpful. Even though no one spoke English, everyone was extremely patient with my tourism Spanish (espanol turismo). The location is wonderful. Keep in mind that it was under construction for renovations. Once everything is finished, I wouldn't be surprised if they raised the rate 3 or 4 times what we paid ($40/night). Also, the Lima subway station is right outside the front door, and it's 25 feet from the corner of Mayo and Julio.”
