“Double room in the attic on the street was large if oddly configured. The bed was comfortable. A smaller double room away from the street would have been too lacking in comfort. The hotel is a throwback to the 1960s small-town place, both good and bad. (A blenderizing electric toilet because the sewer pipes are too small for modern plumbing; some old French-style linoleum on the bathroom floors). The views of the mountains and the village were beautiful, even on a cloudy, drippy night. The proprietor's wife was pleasant; also she spoke English. The WiFi was strong and reliable. The collection of old French culinary magazines on the hallway tables were interesting. Church bells nearby ring every 15 minutes until about 10 p.m., then start up again at about 7 a.m.”
