“A great room, over looking the river with lots of space, including a sofa, coffee table and chair, plus desk and luggage area, perfect for relaxing after a hard days cycling on the Danube. Bike storage is provided and check in is quick and efficient. A lift makes luggage transfer smooth.”

“Lovely big room right on the Danube. We were bicycling and there was a safe locked garage for our bikes. Easy to find the place and just steps away from the Monastary. The beds were comfy. Nice seating area as well. It's nice to have more than just a bed in the room to relax on. The breakfast was terrific. Bottomless coffee, freshly squeezed oj, home made hot buns, cold cuts and cheese, yogurt etc. Lovely big restaurant. The proprietor has 2 very cute pups that we got to see. Highly recommend. There was an Italian restaurant very close by where we enjoyed an evening meal.”
“A nice place directly on the bank of the Danube, in a delightful setting. As it turned out the village also has a monastery with interesting "jewelled skeletons" in its church. The hotel had kitchen even on 26/12 and the food was good, as was the breakfast too. And I especially appreciated that, although one of the two rooms we booked was a lower budget one, we received two premium rooms, both facing the Danube, for no extra cost.”

“This hotel was really lovely. Located on the banks of the Danube, the rooms are huge and comfortable. There is a garage at the back for storing bikes. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great pizzeria close by for an evening meal. Engelhartszel is a lovely village with supermarket and bakery to stock up for your ride the next day.”
