“Really nice Host who even drove us to the airport as the Taxi did not come. Jacuzzi really great at the room.”
“Close to the beach, comfortable bed great restaurant the best in town run by a Spanish guy who's been here 7 years. Good service and info.”
“Very friendly management and staff always seeking ways to make us comfortable. Meals available were delicious, freshly prepared and very reasonably priced. Helped us arrange travel and advised on tours in the area.”
“Clean place, and comfy beds. They had lots of sitting space as well like hammocks. The restaurant attached was good but you lose out on having a kitchen to cook in. The quality of accommodation in Canoa is bleak and this place was bug free and clean.”
“Owners and staff were excellent and helpful. Restaurant was very good - above average for quality. Nice having little children on the property as guests with their parents. Loved seeing the sunset while resting on hammocks on the top deck. Happy to be there as Canoa is rebuilding after the devastating earthquake of April 2016.”
“The visiting managers (while owners on holiday) were great: fluent English, arranged 2 interesting tours for us where we got VIP treatment, very helpful & friendly. All staff friendly & helpful. Attached restaurant served good food & was usually breezy. Mirador was usually breezy & had some shade. Yoga classes offered 3x/week in very nice rooftop studio, for $10/class (expensive in my opinion.) Location easy walk to beach & not too noisy. Building was not damaged in April 2016 severe (7.8) earthquake, due to proper construction, so is a safe place to stay.”
“Restaurant good. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful”
“The hostel is beautiful and in the middle of the town. You can reach the beach in 2 minutes. The two terraces, on the roof top and in the backyard are nothing but great! The hosts are very very nice, they help you with every question. Everything's perfect!”
“Spotlessly clean hostel with delightful proprietors! The hostel was quiet and the food at the on site restaurant was very good. The shrimp pasta should not be missed. It's just a short 2 block walk to the beach. This hostel was not damaged by the recent earthquake and has become a hub for people needing wifi and a warm welcome. The family who runs Amalur is very friendly, welcoming, and professional.”
“They are such a friendly and welcoming family! The food was tasty, the coffee fantastic and all the staff very helpful. The courtyard is a lush haven of peace where I even saw a hummingbird one evening. It's very close to the beach but far enough that you don't get disturbed by the thumping sound systems at the weekend.”
