“Edgard, the owner and chef, hunts game in the surrounding Ardennes forest and serves his 'catch' in the restaurant. He also serves locally caught trout, and makes his own (truly delicious) fois gras pate. While we were at the classic motor racing at nearby Spa circuit, Edgard was out gathering wild mushrooms from the forest, which he served that evening with wild boar he had shot. The hotel is a little basic but Edgard is a brilliant host serving really locally sourced delicious food.”

“Personel were first class. Bed was super comfortable. Owner gave us a choice of two rooms. Breakfast was tip top first class. Even the coffee was good. Owner super frendly. We only stayed one night but would always return again. There was even a Geocache not far away that led to an early evening walk. Owner spoke German, English and obviously French.”

“The owner/ chef Edgard always makes us feel welcome, and his food is really good. He is a hunter, and some of the game he serves he has shot himself, so it is really fresh. For the price, the St Hubert is excellent value. It is set in the beautiful Ardennes region, and close to the Malmedy Brewery, which is worth a visit. Also, the hotel is only a short distance from Spa motor racing circuit.”
