“This is an excellent hotel just steps from St. Mark's Square. The hotel is roughly 100 years old, and walking in takes you back to what travel was like in a bygone era. The hotel is well-appointed with direct access to a canal for water taxis. The staff could not have been nicer, and the bathroom was the most up-to-date I have ever seen in Venice. The bar was small, but it got the job done. Breakfast was great, though the room in which it is served is a bit small, so be prepared to fight a crowd.”

“This hotel is a wonderful piece of history with lovely touches of Venetian decoration. There are Murano glass chandeliers throughout. Huge spa bath, more like a pool really. Loved the restaurant. Fantastic staff, couldn't be more helpful and we have a new Italian recipe for pizza dough to try out too.... Fantastic position too, very close to Saint Mark's Square.”
