“Everyting was really lovely. We will certainly return when in the area. The reception was really welcoming and the room was warm and very comfortable and the double shower was something to write home about. The dogs were very welcome and water already set out for them in our room. We played cards downstairs and there was a wonderful honesty bar with beautiful wines. A truly great hotel.”
“We loved everything about our stay . Laura and her husband have created the most wonderful tranquil atmosphere. The breakfast was superb and the background music was so good , thank you Laura for telling us where to find it .”
“A very well presented hotel in a pretty village off the beaten track”
“Nice room, perfectly renovated palacio, great patio with lounge music (with self-service bar and snacks!), gorgeous breakfast. ”
“The hotel was such a surprise...beautifully decorated by the proprietors, Laura and Jose in a theater-themed way that is hard to explain but better enjoyed when there. Each of the 12 rooms are individually decorated and the common areas are to be enjoyed. Highly recommend this hotel as a staging hotel to the Rioja wine region. In addition, if you have the opportunity to stay there, for a small amount on one evening Jose provides a historical overview of the history of the hotel and is followed by a very generous wine tasting and local snacks. Not to miss. The town is very small and unassuming...but I'm sure it also has its individual surprises that unfortunately we did not stay long enough to uncover.”
“The previous night we had stayed at Relais Chateau D'Arche in Sauterne. We thought no hotel on our road trip would equal or surpass the experience. Well, Hotel Teatrisso and the village provided an equally impressive experience. The buffet breakfast offered everything you could possibly want. Each room is designed to celebrate an important development in cinematic history. Ours was El Silensio and designed to celebrate the silent film era. The owners(Sorry forgotten their names!) were very attentive and dedicated to ensuring our stay was as pleasant as possible. The Hotel recommended the only restaurant in the village (does not really cater for vegetarians) confident we would love the food. We were served the best morcillia we have ever tasted! We aim to return”
“We found The Hotel rooms and service excellent. This hotel is not part of a large chain and is very individual. The small number of rooms each have their own style and theme and ours had a cinema theme as the hotel used to be an old theatre. The hotel has an honesty bar and guests can help themselves to beers, snacks and drinks coffee / tea etc... we have two teenage children 14&16 who both loved the rooms and courtyard for cards etc ( and yes the wifi as well) . We only stayed 1 night traveling through and to this end I think it was perfect. Perhaps not good for families with young children. Small family run hotel with charm and character. Many thanks to Laura the friendly helpful and happy hostess..”
“This was one of the best hotel stays I had in a long time. Laura and Jose, the owners, took great care of us, recommending several places to go, and handling winery and dinner reservations for us. The level of service provided by the Laura would make many big hotels managers ashamed: She was always there, ready to help us. Lovely stay, amazing value. We will be back.”
“The Owners were extremely helpful & friendly, lovely breakfast with freshly made products”
“The hotel is delightful and the hostess could not do enough for us - it was exceptionally hot in our room and we were moved to another one without any fuss. Lovely breakfasts. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable stay and there is nothing not to like!”
