“While self identified as a “hotel”, the Wakenitzblick comes across as a traditional and more intimate German pension-type accommodation. It is located on the banks of the scenic Wakenitz River and Canal just outside the historic city center of Luebeck - itself built on an island. We had one of the few rooms with balcony overlooking the water. The room was small but clean, comfortable and tranquil. There is no elevator. Limited parking is available on the property, but most guests are obliged to park on the street. An excellent and varied breakfast is included in the room charge. It is a short walk to the city center. Public transportation is available, however, no more than a few minutes walk away. The personnel working reception spoke good English, and were very helpful with tourist and shopping advice.”

“It was so nice to stay Here after a 27 hour ferry I arrive at the hotel and I was great with a big smile and check in was quick, the bed was so comfortable, the room was super clean, and warm, the view in the morning was a surprise a beautiful river, hot water to take a nice shower,breakfast was so good and the lady that was at the reception also really nice,good parking space for shure I will recommend it I will go back”
