“The bed was comfortable, and the room and hotel were extremely clean. It smelled like new carpet had just been installed. Attention to detail was obvious (which reminds me, I forgot to eat the little chocolate the hotel left for me!). The staff was very professional, and breakfast had an extensive assortment. Even the natural soap and shampoo in the bathroom were better than the standard issue small bottles (wasteful and not the best for skin), and the towels were bright and colorful. The location was very good -- steps away from a tram stop, and right across the street from a Bavarian restaurant and large beer garden with good food. I could walk downtown in five minutes. There is a university botanical garden not far away, and several small restaurants are located around the hotel and on the way into the city center (Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, Italian, etc.).”
“Not posh, but very pleasant and an excellent value. Location is a 25-minute walk from the main train station or a short ride door-to-door on the street car rail line. Mostly very quiet. When there is a late event across the street, noise is well blocked by the good windows in case you need to go to sleep early.”
