“The hotel owner/manager is involved in all work and very friendly. The biergarten across the street also belongs to the hotel, which is wonderful. The hotel is very old but is enchanting. The restaurant was very busy and even offered vegan options, which was a plus for our family. For the history involved in this building, it was worth the stay. The rooms are good. No fans or AC, so if you travel during warm summer months (it was 90 degrees F when we visited), be prepared! It's not on the lake, but is a short walk to it.”
“The breakfast was amazing. The staff was extremely attentive and the buffet had everything imaginable. They made eggs, bacon and coffee to your liking. Plus an entire spread of fruits, cheeses, salmon, breads, etc. It's also a very unique hotel with little surprises and things to discover, like a customized welcome note, instructions on keeping your balance while brushing your teeth, or a Schnaps to apologize for construction that was going on at the hotel (which we never noticed).”

“A lovely small hotel with lots of Bavarian character, individuality and charm. The location is very convenient - a 10-minute walk to the lake and a 50-minute train journey from central Munich. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent for its type - especially the generous breakfast buffet with a good selection of quality produce.”
