“Although I do not ski, I enjoyed the location on the ski slopes. One can reach the village of Åre either on foot, on ski or with the small mountain train (10 mn) going back and forth. The view over the lake from the dining room is breathtaking. It was still partly frozen. It boosts one's day to start it with such a view. the staff was very helpful. The first night, I enjoyed a dinner of excellent and very tasty soup fish and crème brûlée. The bathroom is comfortable. The dining room and sitting rooms are very cosy.”

“Being able to hire the skis and equipment at the Hotel was great. No pre-booking required. It is also ski in / ski out but only if you are a competent skier. The cable car/funicular is right outside which takes you in to town, very handy if you are a beginner like me. We got the bus to Bjorn where there were plenty of smaller slopes. The apres-ski from 3-5 is great fun and then it turns back in to a relaxing restaurant.”
