We stayed here after leaving one of the worst place's we've ever stayed in "Acacia House" in Upper Houghton. Idwala was an oasis of tranquility, warm welcomes and clean well maintained rooms. Loved the complimentary homemade cookies in our room. It's these small attention to details and the guests comfort that makes this a new go-to home in Johannesburg for us. For those of you who want to be near shops, there is a very large shopping mall only a 10min walk down the street and around the corner.”
