“The setting on the lake is beautiful with fabulous views of the Lake Kussharo. Breakfast was good. The bathroom was luxurious by Japanese standards. The dining room was very, very nice with views.”

After initially being assigned a low-floor room (despite my booking request) we then received a beautiful room on the top floor with wonderful view over the lake and surrounding area, including from the hot tub. Food was delicious -- buffet, and a bit busy, but very good value with great local selection and friendly staff. Will gladly return.”

“Beautifully located at the lakeside. Rooms with a view look out over the lake. The on-site onsen has an indoor and an outdoor bath, which is really nice. The restaurant serves a good dinner buffet with lots of interesting (and some typical Japanese - e.g. jellyfish!) dishes. Good quality and large selection. Rooms are adequate and large for Japanese conditions. The nearby Wakoto peninsula has public rotenburo (open air hot springs) and a nice walking path through the forest.”
